Type the model and serial, or photograph the plate. Coldr identifies the unit and loads its refrigerant, metering device, and factory targets before you take a reading.

Suction and liquid pressures, line temps, wet bulb. Enter them and superheat, subcool, and target charge run against that unit's numbers — not a generic range.
Superheat is read where the suction line leaves the evaporator; subcool where the liquid line leaves the condenser.

Signed off by a senior tech
Every guided-flow threshold — what counts as high superheat, low static, a weak capacitor — was reviewed and signed by a senior technician in June 2026. Additions queue for the same sign-off before they are called authoritative.
The AI can't invent a number
The assistant is barred from producing an HVAC number from its training. Every figure comes from a validated tool call, with a citation. If no tool can answer, it says so.
Coldr is assistive professional information: you verify every output against the nameplate, the manufacturer's instructions, your instruments, and the adopted code before acting, and refrigerant work still requires your EPA 608 certification and your judgment.

Can I trust the numbers?
Here is what backs them. Calculators cite their standard and show their method. Equipment values that could not be confirmed against the manufacturer were dropped rather than guessed. Diagnostic thresholds were signed off by a senior tech. The AI cannot produce a number from memory. You still verify against the nameplate, the manual, and code — that is the job.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes — it's built and coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Same account, plan, credits, and jobs as the web app. The mobile app is also where Bluetooth live readings live: Testo consoles, Yellow Jacket ManTooth, Sauermann, and any standard Bluetooth ESS probe. Until it's out, the web app works in your phone's browser.
What does “unlimited” AI mean?
Unlimited within fair use. Pro and the team plans get a monthly message pool that refreshes each month, with a light weekly pace so nobody burns it in a day. Go past the pool and messages spend credits; if you are out of credits too, the assistant pauses until the pool refreshes or you add a pack. The details are in the Fair-Use Policy.
What is actually free?
Superheat, subcool, target superheat, and the PT chart — fully usable, for good. Every other calculator opens in preview, and you get the first 3 steps of any guided diagnostic. No AI on Free. No credit card to sign up.
What's the difference between Starter and Pro?
Starter ($12.99/mo or $129/yr) is the whole toolkit: all 48 calculators, the lookups, all 32 guided diagnostics, the 65 guides, notes, jobs, and sync — with no AI. Pro ($19.99/mo or $199/yr) is Starter plus the unlimited fair-use AI assistant, including nameplate and wiring photo reading.
Does it work without signal?
The tools are light and keep working through the spotty signal you get in a basement or mechanical room, and your work syncs when you're back on a connection. Don't count on the web app with zero signal. The mobile app, coming soon, runs its calculators on the device.
Can my whole shop use it?

Yes, by law, for any work that could release refrigerant. Coldr carries an EPA 608 reminder on its refrigerant tools and is built to support your certification and judgment, not replace them. Where the manufacturer's instructions, a listing, or the adopted code disagree with Coldr, they control.
